잡초는 강한 식물들이 경쟁하는 깊은 숲속에서는 쉽게 자라지 못해, 공원이나 길가, 운동장, 텃밭, 그리고 공원묘지처럼 사람의 손길이 닿은 곳에서 자라나는, 인간과 가장 가까이 살아가는 식물이다. 인간의 환경과 잡초가 함께 살아가는 곳에서 제초되어 버려진 풀들을 모아, 눈이 오면 기뻐하는 마음으로 풀에게 다가가 ‘초사람’을 만들어 자연과 동심 어린 관계 맺기에 다가가 보려 한다.

 

Weeds cannot easily grow in deep forests where stronger plants compete; instead, they thrive in places shaped by human hands—like parks, roadsides, playgrounds, small gardens, and community cemeteries—becoming the plants that live closest to us. In these spaces where we coexist with weeds, I gather the discarded grasses. Stepping toward them with the simple joy of watching the snow fall, I create 'Grass Men,' seeking to gently draw closer to a childlike relationship with the natural world.

雜草因無法在強壯植物競爭的茂密森林中順利生長，便選擇在公園、路邊、運動場、小菜園，甚至是墓園等留有人類足跡的地方生長，成為與我們生活最貼近的植物。在人類與雜草共生的空間裡，我收集那些被除掉而丟棄的草兒，懷抱著如同看見下雪時那般單純喜悅的心情走向它們，並將它們創作成『草人』，試著悄悄走近與自然世界之間那份如孩童般純真的連結。
